Mira & Tom Kehoe have a very large repertoire of music, vocal and instrumental, ranging from jazz to Brazilian music. We are booking the band as a duo, trio or a larger group. Tom is also available for solo piano.
Bios
Mira and Tom Kehoe met in New York City. Since the mid-1980’s they have been teaching and performing throughout the United States and Brazil from intimate clubs to concert stages in a collaboration which includes jazz, world music, original compositions, theater and movement. They are a creative and versatile duo, playing and improvising in a broad range of styles. They have recorded on several discs, including Breaking Silence, Facing East, Marriage at the Panopticon, System Error, and Mississippi Mother. Mira and Tom have created full length theater pieces including Circling at the Guthrie Theater Lab, and Labyrinth at SpaceSpace in Minneapolis. Mira is also a voice coach for the theater, and has coached well over 200 plays, including several at Theatre de la Jeune Lune, The Children’s Theater and over eighty productions at the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis. Mira has coached actors in several films, including Mighty Ducks, The Parent Trap, Sugar and Spice and The Naked Man.
